• The Mountaineers wrapped up non-conference play a few weeks ago and are still in search of their first win of the season after going 0-3-0.
• This weekend's games will wrap up a four-game road swing for Eastern Oregon. The Mountaineers last played at home on Aug. 28.

Previously Against Warner Pacific/Multnomah
• EOU and WPU last met in 2019 as the Knight opted out of the 2020 season. In the 2019 showdown, the Mounties walked away the victors with a 3-0 shutout at home.
• The Mountaineers and Lions squared off twice in 2020 with EOU winning both matches on its home field in shutout fashion, 3-0 and 4-0, respectively.
• All-time, EOU has fared well against both squads. Against WPU, Eastern is 4-1-0 and against Multnomah, the Mounties have never lost to them with an 8-0-0 record.
CCC Openers
• In the young history of EOU Men's Soccer, the Mountaineers are 2-3-1 in conference opening games since 2015.Â
• When opening CCC play on the road, EOU is 2-2-0 in four games played. Easter last opened up conference play on the road in 2019.
• When playing in their first CCC road game, EOU is 2-3-1 all-time.
Scouting the Competition
Warner Pacific Knights
• The Knights are off to a solid start for the 2021 season with a 3-1-0 record in non-conference play. All three wins have come against NCAA Division III opponents in Linfield, Pacific, and Pacific Lutheran. Their lone loss is to Willamette.
• Offensively, Warner Pacific has discord nine goals on the season and is averaging 2.25 per game. They've taken 60 shots with 28 coming on goal. They have tallied three assists so far as well.
• On defense, the Knights have surrendered four goals this year and are holding opponents to just 1.00 goals per game.
• Four different players have scored two goals for WPU this season, but the overall points leader is Hunter Leach with five on two goals scored and one assist. He has tallied six shots with four coming on goal.
• Scoring two goals apiece to tie for second at four points is Mighuel Andalon-cruz, Arturo Bahena, and Nick Evans. Leading the way in shots taken for WPU is Evans with 15 total and seven have come on goal.
• Kai Flugel and Brandon Madrano each have an assist on the year for one point. Both have started all four games for WPU this season but have yet to take a shot.
• Two goalkeepers have split time in net for the Knights in Luis Hernandez and Alexis Calderilla-Hurtado. Hernandez leads the way in saves with 10 but has surrendered three goals. Calderilla-Hernandez has just four saves, but has allowed just one goal.
Multnomah Lions
• The Lions are still in search of their first win of the season as they stand at 0-4-0 on the year. All four losses for MU have come against NCAA Division III schools.
• On offense, the Lions have scored just two goals this season. They have taken 24 shots and 10 have come on goal. They averaged 0.50 goals per game.
• Defensively, MU has already surrendered 17 goals to its opposition. Opposing teams are averaging 4.25 goals per game against MU.
• Ethan Fuller and Alejandro Jaramillo each have scored a goal on the year. Both athletes have taken one shot with it coming on goal.
• Hunter Martell has the lone assist for the Lions for one point.
• Four different players have seen action in net for the Lions. Leading the way in saves is Pablo Mendoza-Osornia and Juan Muniz with seven, respectively.

• The Mountaineers will return home for the final time in September next weekend as CCC play continues. EOU will host a pair of teams in Corban on Friday, sept. 24, followed by Bushnell on Saturday, Sept. 25. Kickoff for both games is scheduled for 4 p.m. PT inside Community Stadium.
