Mountaineers Continue Non-Conference Play at Twin Rivers Physical Therapy Classic

LA GRANDE, Ore. - Eastern Oregon University Women's Basketball begins an eight-game trip away from home this weekend and the first six games will be in the state of Idaho. The first set games on tap are a pair of neutral site contests at the Twin Rivers Physical therapy Classic hosted by Lewis-Clark State College.

• The Mountaineers (2-1) are coming off an exhibition showdown at home against Whitman College. It was the team's lone exhibition of the year.
• EOU will be on the road or in a neutral site contest in each of their next eight games.
• Part of the eight game road trip for the Mountaineer includes three conference games.
• Following the LC State Tournament, the Mountaineers will play their next four games in Caldwell, Idaho.

• Although the game against Whitman does not count toward their overall record, the Mountaineers have dropped each of their last two games.

Last Time Out

• The Mountaineers last game was an exhibition tune-up against the Blues of Whitman College. The blues walked away the victors with a 75-68 win.
Adyson Harris led the way in scoring with 18 points off the bench. She shot 6-15 from the floor and grabbed a team best six rebounds.
Sailor Liefke added 15 points with the help of 8-10 made free throws and was able to grab four rebounds.

Previously Against Rocky Mountain/Montana Tech
• EOU and Rocky Mountain last met in the 2016-17 season in a neutral site showdown in Caldwell. The Mountaineers walked away on top winning 68-54.
• Eastern and Montana Tech last met in 2017-18 at the same tournament they are playing in again this weekend. The Orediggers edged out the Mountaineers by a final of 71-67.
• EOU has squared off with Montana Tech five total times since the 2009-10 season. EOU had the slight edge at 3-2.

Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears

• The Battlin' Bears have played three games this season, but two have been exhibitions. They are 1-0 on the year with their lone win coming against Viterbo University, 83-60.
• Offensively, the Battlin' Bears average 83.0 points per game on 45% shooting from the field. They shoot just 27.6% from deep and are only a 33.3% team from the free throw line.
• Defensively, Rocky is holding opponents to just 60.0 points per game on 35.6% shooting. They grab 46.0 rebounds per game and are averaging 8.0 steals per game and blocking 4.0 shots.
• Shauna Bribiescas is the leader in scoring to start at 18.0 points per game. She is shooting 50% from the field overall and is also a 50% shooter from three-point range.
• N'Dea Flye is also leading the way in scoring at 18.0 points per game to start the year. She is a 60% shooter overall and is the team leader in rebounding at 12.0 per game.

Montana Tech Orediggers
• The Orediggers are through four games played already this season and are an even 2-2 to start the year. They have wins over Walla Walla University and William Jessup University.
• Tech is averaging 66.8 points per game to start and is shooting 42.1% from the floor overall and 38.5% from three-point range. They dish out 13.3 assists per game and shoot 70.2% from the free throw line.
• On defense, the Orediggers are surrendering 63.5 points per game on 40.1% shooting. Opponents shoot 32% from deep against them. The Orediggers are averaging 38.8 rebounds per game to go along with 6.3 steals and 4.0 blocks per contest.
• Brooek Heggie is the leading scorer through four games at 11.0 per game. She shoots 60% from the floor and is fourth on the team in rebounding at 4.5 per game.
• Mollie Peoples is second in scoring and the only other double figure scorer at 10.8 points per game. She is a 42.5% shooter from the field and is 9-23 from deep for 39.1%.

• Dani Urick and Celestina Faletoi are tied for second in rebounding at 5.3 per game, respectively. Urick is also the team's third leading scorer at 9.5 points per game.
• Madison Allen and Rooney are tied for the team lead in assists so far with nine apiece and both are averaging 2.3 per game.

• Following the LC State Tournament, the Mountaineers will not be back inaction until Nov. 20 when they head to Caldwell, Idaho for a neutral site match-up against Montana Western. The game will be played at College of Idaho with tip-off set for 2 p.m. PT.
