INDIANAPOLIS - The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) has announced its 2021 Academic All-District® Team for Volleyball. Eastern Oregon University had one player selected in
Cambree Scott.
Scott is no stranger to this award having been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District® First each of the last two years. With this award, she has now been tabbed a First Team selection three years in a row.
The 2021 Academic All-District® Volleyball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. The cumulative grade-point average may NOT be rounded up to 3.30.
Academically, Scott is currently sporting a 3.97 cumulative GPA while majoring in Multidisciplinary Studies/Elementary Education. She has also garnered Cascade Collegiate Conference U.S. Bank All-Academic Team honors three years in a row as well (2019-21).
On the court, Scott has been one of the best in the CCC and NAIA. She leads the team in kills and hitting percentage at 302 and .292, respectively. Her hitting percentage is fifth highest in the league as well. On defense, Scott is the conference leader in total blocks and blocks per set. She has 140 on the year entering the postseason and averages 1.25 per set. Her 140 blocks is 21 more than second in the CCC. She is also the all-time EOU career leader in total blocks with 509 and is the only player in school history to eclipse 500. Scott has led the CCC in blocking each of the last three seasons. Last season, she was named AVCA First Team All-Region after garnering First Team All-CCC honors and went on to be named an NAIA Second Team All-American. She is currently ranked ninth in the NAIA in blockers per set and total blocks. Her 130 block assists are third most in the NAIA as well.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-December.
