LA GRANDE, Ore. - Mountaineer Men's Soccer hits the road once again as Eastern Oregon will travel to Montana for a key conference match-up.

• The Mountaineers (4-5-0, 4-2-0 CCC) will look to keep what is now a two-game win streak intact and stay in the top half of the conference standings when they take on Rocky.
• Eastern is coming off a big road win, 3-1, over College of Idaho and enters the weekend sitting in sixth place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings.
• EOU was originally set to take on Rocky Mountain and University of Providence, but COVID-19 protocols have canceled the match-up against the Argos.
• With the cancellation of the Providence game, the Argos match-up against EOU goes down as a forfeit.

Story Lines
• EOU is coming off its biggest win of the season having defeated rival College of Idaho, 3-1, on its Homecoming weekend.
• With the forfeit of the Argos game, the Mountaineers are currently on a two-game win streak and have won each of their last two road contests.
• Eastern has never defeated Rocky Mountain and is 0-8-0 against them all-time in the program's young history.
• Following the road match against the Batlin' bears, the Mounties will return home for their next four contests.

Last Time Out
• The Mountaineers improved to 3-2-1 all-time against their rival in the yotes with a 3-1 upset win on College of Idaho's homecoming weekend.
• C of I outshot EOU 33-7 but goals from three different Mounties helped them secure the win.

• EOU and Rocky have met on the pitch eight total times and each time the Battlin' Bears have come out victorious.Â
• Last season, Rocky defeated EOU twice inside Community Stadium by scores of 2-0 and 3-1, respectively.
• All-time, Eastern is 0-3 against the Battlin' Bears in Billings. Rocky has surrendered just one goal to the Mountaineers in those three contests.

Scouting the Competition
Rocky Mountain College
• The Battlin' Bears sport a 4-3-2 overall record entering the weekend but are just 1-3-1 in CCC play to sit 12th in the standings. They have dropped each of their last two contests.
• Offensively, Rocky has scored 12 goals and averages 1.33 per game on 15.0 shots per contests. They have tallied six assists as well.
• Defensively, the Battlin' Bears have also surrendered 12 goals and give up 1.33 goals per game. Opponents average just 9.7shots per contest and Rocky has made 30 saves on the year.
• Milo Downey is the team's top scorer with five goals for 10 points this season. He has ripped off 19 shots with nine coming on goal.Â
• Second in total points is Igor Soares with a pair of goals and assists, respectively. He has taken 11 shots on the year with three coming on goal. His two assists lead the team as well.
• Also with two goals is Niklas Kneller. He had five points with the help of one assist. He's taken eight shots and had six come on goal.
• Second in shots taken is Jonah Gronmayer with 16 but he has yet to find the back of the net. Of his 16 shots, eight have come on goal.
• Ryan Cornwall has started all nine games in net this season. He has allowed 12 goals and racked up 30 saves. He boasts a .714 save percentage and has three shutouts.

• The Mountaineers will return home for their final four games of the regular season inside Community Stadium. Eastern Oregon begins its four-game homestand against two in-state foes in Oregon Tech on Friday, Oct. 15, followed by Southern Oregon on Saturday, Oct. 16. Kickoff for both games is set for 4 p.m. PT.
