CALDWELL, Idaho. – Junior guard Payton Parrish had the hot hand tonight scoring 24 points, going 6-of-10 from beyond the arc, as the No. 17 EOU women's basketball team defeated the Yotes by a 20-point margin Thursday evening.

Junior guard Maya Ah You (Dias) dropped 10 points along with six boards, while junior forward Stormee Van Belle chipped in 15 points and brought down eight rebounds

It was a dominating first period for EOU (24-4, 17-2 CCC) who led the Yotes (11-14, 11-8 CCC), 21-4 after one stanza. The Mounties held C of I to 2-of-14 from the floor while knocking down four treys.

The first two minutes of the second stanza saw Parrish knock down two triples to go up by 23 (27-4). After baskets from junior guard Reece Bauer and Van Belle capped off a 15-5 run, C of I finished the final three minutes of the second period on an 11-6 spurt, down 19 at the intermission (42-23).

In the third period, the Blue and Gold recorded 15 points, eight coming from Parrish and only outscored the Yotes by one (15-14). Despite each team scoring 17 apiece in the final stanza, EOU's lead never dipped under 16 and the Mounties would go on to seal the road victory.
