Mountaineers Begin CCC Tournament on Friday vs. Providence

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon women's soccer team begins the postseason on Friday, taking on Providence in the first round of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships presented by U.S. Bank at 5 p.m at the Willamalane Sports Complex.

The Mountaineers (10-3-2, 9-1-1 CCC) won their first CCC title in program history last weekend with shutouts over Northwest Christian and Corban.

EOU will be the No. 1-seed in the tournament, hosting No. 8-seed Providence. The Mountaineers defeated the Argos earlier this season 3-2 at home on Sept. 30.

The conference title also locks up an automatic berth into the 34th Annual NAIA Women's Soccer Championships for EOU, which begin on November 18. The Mountaineers are already receiving votes in the NAIA Top-25 Poll heading into the conference tournament.

The tournament will be live streamed by host Northwest Christian, which can be viewed by CLICKING HERE. EOU will also be playing the match for free in the Booster Room located in Quinn Coliseum with light refreshments provided.

On Thursday night, the team will attend the CCC soccer banquet at 6:45 p.m. At the banquet, the conference will announce its postseason awards including Player of the Year and Coach of the Year. A live stream of the event will be available on CCCWebTV.
