SERIES HISTORY
EOU and Baker are meeting for the first time in program history. The Blue and Gold's last win against a No. 2 team came on Sept. 3, when EOU defeated Southern Oregon, 45-40, in its season opener.

EOU'S LAST TIME OUT
EOU is coming off perhaps the biggest win in program history, as the Mountaineers took down top-ranked and defending national champion Marian, 17-0. The Blue and Gold earned its first shutout since 2013, and it also delivered the Knights their first scoreless contest in their 10-year history.

EOU scored touchdowns off a pick six by senior defensive back John Payne and punt return by freshman defensive back Isaiah Richie, and sophomore punter/kicker Nathan Harden drilled a field goal just before halftime. On the other side of the ball, junior linebacker Michal Arenas became the second Mountie this season to tally 17 tackles in a game. The Mountaineers forced seven turnovers in the winning effort, and EOU saw six different players notch interceptions.

BAKER'S LAST TIME OUT
Baker remained perfect (13-0) after defeating No. 8 Lindsey Wilson, 42-27, in the quarterfinals of the NAIA FCS. The Wildcats scored twice in the first three minutes of the game, as Logan Brettell hit Ladai Shawn Boose for a 19-yard touchdown in the opening possession. The Blue Raiders scored a touchdown and a two-point conversion to bring the game to within one possession at 35-27, but fumbled at their own 11-yard line, where Brettell scored on a third-down scramble on an impressive 9-yard run as he dove into the pylon to take a 42-27 lead at the end of the third quarter.

The Wildcats lead the NAIA in passing offense (4,763) and rank in the top 10 nationally in nine other categories, including first downs per game (26.5, 2nd), points per game (50.2, 3rd), pass efficiency (171.8, 5th), total sacks (35.0, 6th), and scoring defense (18.9, 9th).
