EOU Men’s Soccer Suffers 4-2 Loss to No. 15 Corban

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. –  The EOU men's soccer team allowed four goals in the first half Friday afternoon, a hat-trick from Timur Zhividze, as No.15 Corban held onto the 4-2 victory.

Corban (13-2, 8-2 CCC) jumped on the board in the 7th tick courtesy of a Rolando Velazquez tally. Eight minutes later, the hat-trick run for Timur Zhividze began with an unassisted score. A penalty kicked followed in the 26th minute, and his third score came off a cross in the 32nd minute. Warriors closed out on a 4-0 lead against the Mountaineers (9-6-1, 4-6-1 CCC) heading into the half.

Cutting the deficit just 30 seconds into the second stanza was sophomore forward Elvis Pavon, with his team-leading seventh goal of the 2016 campaign. Sophomore midfielder Steven Beaudry continued the comeback attempt with his second tally of the year in the 72nd minute, but ultimately the Warrior's defense was able to stave off the EOU rally.

The Blue and Gold owned a 15-12 shot advantage, with four coming on target.
