Coaches' Top 25
The Eastern Oregon University volleyball team jumped three spots, from No. 14 to No. 11, in the second edition of the Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll. This is the third highest ranking in school history for the Mountaineers. Last season, EOU climbed to as high as No. 9.
 
Last Week
Last week the Mountaineers were a perfect 3-0 on the week. EOU started the week with a victory over College of Idaho and followed with a weekend sweeps of The Evergreen State College and Northwest.
 
Red Lion Players of the Week
Casey Loper and Jessalyn Smith were named Red Lion Volleyball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week. This is the third time this season that Loper has been named Offensive Player of the Week. This is Smith's first time this season winning Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Scouting the Opponents
Corban

The Warriors of Corban University come into this matchup with the Mountaineers with an overall record of 3-8 and are 0-4 in Cascade Collegiate Conference action. Shantelle Hill leads the Warriors' offense, as she has a team high 98 kills on the season. Katherine Salness paces the defense with 137 digs on the season. Last weekend, Corban dropped a pair of CCC games to Warner Pacific and Concordia. They come into this weekend having lost seven straight contests.
Northwest Christian
Northwest Christian Beacons enter the weekend with a record of 3-4 on the season and 1-3 in CCC action. In their last match, the Beacons swept Warner Pacific, 25-15, 25-20, 25-23, to earn their first conference win of the season. Chandler Gabrio leads the team with 68 kills and Chelsea McGowan follows with 60. Haley Damian leads the team in digs with 81.
 
Top 15
Two Mountaineers, Casey Loper and Jessalyn Smith, are in the top 15 in the nation for a few different statistical categories. Loper ranks seventh in the nation in kills with 217 and tenth in kills per set, 4.3. Smith ranks 11th in total digs (299) and digs per set (5.8).
 
Leading the CCC
Eastern Oregon ranks first in the CCC in hitting percentage. The Mountaineers are hitting .232 on the season. The next closest team is hitting .215 on the season. Casey Loper paces the Mountaineers in hitting percentage as she is hitting .323 to lead the conference.
