Click here Home OpenerSunday, Sept. 14 the Eastern Oregon University women's soccer opens up its 2014 regular season home schedule. The Mountaineers will host Trinity Lutheran (Wash.) at 2 p.m. It is Kids Day! Kids 18 and under will receive free admission. Following the game, there will be a free soccer clinic with the EOU soccer team.
Looking at TLCThe Hawks come into the contest with the Mountaineers with a record of 0-4. Trinity Lutheran has been beat by Cascade Collegiate Conference members, Oregon Tech (8-0) and Northwest Christian (3-0). There were no stats provided for Trinity Lutheran.
ShutoutsThe Mountaineers have pitched two shutouts this season. The two shutouts so far this season have the Mountaineers ranked No. 15 in the nation for shutouts.
Non-ConferenceSunday is the last non-conference game for the Mountaineers this season. So far the Mountaineers have gone 1-3-1 in non-conference action. EOU tied No. 15 Cal State San Marcos in non-conference action. This has been the only tie against a ranked team in program history.
Westminster Fall ClassicLast weekend, the Mountaineers participated in the 2014 Westminster Fall Classic. EOU went 1-1 in the classic as they defeated Arizona Christian, 3-0, on the first day and lost to host Westminster, 3-0, on Saturday. Against Arizona Christian,
Kaeliana De Vera scored the first goal of the season for EOU.
Sydney Nelson and
Katherine Hood also scored for EOU in the victory. The Mountaineers could not get anything going offensively against Westminster as they only mustered one shot in the contest.
Coming Up NextAfter this weekend the Mountaineers will have its alumni game on Sept. 20 at the EOU Soccer Complex. On Sept. 26th, Eastern Oregon opens up CCC action as they travel to The College of Idaho.
