Booth, Roelle and Fagen Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

LA GRANDE, Ore. –  The 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Capital One has been the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams programs since 2011.
 
Senior Kadie Booth, Junior Hans Roelle and Sophomore Talitha Fagen have earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.

Booth was named All-American in the 4x400 relay and 400 meter run at the Outdoor National Championships. She was named Women's Athlete of the Year at The Outdoor CCC Championships. Booth was also a part of the 4x400 relay team at the Indoor National Championships and received All-American Honors. She also holds a 3.48 GPA and is Majoring in Multidisciplinary Studies and Elementary Education.
 
Roelle claimed a National title in the 800 meter run at the Outdoor National Championships with a time of 1:50. He broke the EOU school record in the 800 meter run at the CCC Outdoor Championships with a time of 1:49, which was the fastest time in NAIA all season. Named CCC Indoor Athlete of the Week twice, Hans also won the National Championship in the 1000 meter run at the Indoor National Championships. Roelle is a Computer Science/Mulitmedia Studies major and he holds a GPA of 3.83.
 
Fagen broke the EOU women's school pole vault record clearing a height of 3.70 meters at the CCC Outdoor National Championships… She was named CCC Indoor Women's Athlete of the Week 3 consecutive weeks during the 2014 season. Tali was crowned National Champ at the Indoor National Championships in Women's Pole Vault. She is majoring in Psychology and holds a GPA of 3.37.

First-team Academic All-District ® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected in June.
