No. 21
EOU improved two spots, from No. 23 to No. 21, in the eighth edition of the NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Monday. EOU received 87 points in the polls this week and is one of three Frontier Conference schools in the Top 25. The ninth edition of the Coaches' Poll comes out on Nov. 10.
 
Last Week
The Eastern Oregon University football team overcame a 14-0 first quarter deficit to defeat Montana Tech, 31-20, on a rainy Saturday afternoon at Community Stadium. The Mountaineers scored the final 24 points of the contest.
 
200 Yard Rusher
Jace Billingsley recorded 202 yards rushing on Nov. 1 against Montana Tech. He is the first running back to rush for over 200 yards since Chris McGinnis-Parker rushed for 219 yards on Nov. 2, 2013 against Dickinson State.
 
Versus C of I Earlier This Season
Earlier this season the Yotes and Mountaineers squared off at Community Stadium, with EOU coming away with a 47-7 victory. Zach Bartlow led the way for the Mountaineers (4-1, 3-1 Frontier Conference), as he was 15-of-22 passing for 223 yards and four touchdown passes. Jace Billingsley recorded five receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown. With the five receptions, Billingsley ties Ray Patrick for most receptions in EOU history. 
 
All-Time Series
College of Idaho leads the all-time series against the Mountain­eers. The Mountaineers are 9-26-1 against College of Idaho.
 
Looking at the Yotes
College of Idaho enters this game against the Mountaineers on a three game losing streak; two of those losses came against ranked teams. Since the Mountaineers defeated the Yotes on Oct. 4, College of Idaho has won one game and dropped three. In the last game for the Yotes, Montana Western scored with two minutes and 22 seconds left on the clock to win, 30-27. Quarterback Teejay Gordon leads the Yotes offense as he is averaging 249.6 total offensive yards per game. He leads the Yotes on the ground averaging 83.9 rushing yards per game. Gordon is also passing for 165.7 yards per game. He has rushed for 14 touchdowns on the season.
 
Frontier Conference Standings
The Mountaineers find themselves in third place in the Frontier Conference standings. EOU currently is looking up at Carroll and Southern Oregon, who both are 7-1 in conference, two games in front of the Mountaineers.
 
Interceptions
Ronnie Flowers and Byron Benson are currently tied with College of Idaho's Cory Brady for most interceptions in the Frontier Conference. Flowers recorded two interceptions and Benson one pick against Montana Tech to tie them with Brady for the conference lead.
 
What's Up Next
The Mountaineers travel to Ashland, Ore. to face Southern Oregon University on Nov. 15. This will close out the Mountaineers regular season. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. PT.
