No. 16
EOU improved five spots, from No. 21 to No. 16, in the ninth edition of the NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Monday. The Final Regular Season NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll will be announced on Sunday, Nov. 16.
 
Player of the Week
Jace Billingsley has been Named NAIA Offensive Player of the Week and Frontier Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance on Nov. 8 against College of Idaho, the national office announced on Monday.  Billingsley led the Mountaineers with 294 All-purpose yards in last weekend's 45-21 victory over the College of Idaho. He caught nine passes for 156 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, he rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. This is his first career National Player of the Week Selection. 
 
Last Week
Eastern Oregon defeated the College of Idaho Yotes, 45-21, on Saturday afternoon. The Mountaineers gained 578 yards of total offense in the victory. Jace Billingsley led the Mountaineers' offense with 294 yards, 138 rushing yards and 156 yards receiving, on the afternoon. Zach Bartlow led the Eastern Oregon air attack as he was 21-for-34 for 324 yards.
 
All-Purpose Yards
Junior receiver Jace Billingsley is third in the NAIA in all-purpose yards (1,788) and fifth in all-purpose yards per game (178.8).
 
Earlier This Season
The Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers trailed the No. 22 Southern Oregon University Raiders, 35-31, with 10 seconds remaining in the game. Zach Bartlow dropped back to throw a pass down the middle of the field but it dropped incomplete and the Mountaineers fell to Southern Oregon, 35-31. The Mountaineers held the lead for the majority of the contest, but could not hold on in the fourth quarter. Zach Bartlow led the Mountaineers with 262 passing yards and three touchdowns. Jace Billingsley recorded 11 receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown. Byron BensonMatt Gayman and Gary Posten led the team with 10 tackles.
 
Leading the Frontier Conference
Ronnie Flowers recorded his sixth interception of the season on Saturday against College of Idaho. Flowers is tied with Cory Brady of College of Idaho for the most interceptions in the Frontier Conference this season. Flowers is ranked fifth in the NAIA in the nation.
 
Third Down Conversion
The Mountaineers are converting 43.7 percent of their third downs this season. This is the eighth best percentage in the NAIA.
 
NAIA Football Championship Series
Going into the final week of the 2014 regular season, Eastern Oregon still has a chance to make their first ever appearance in the NAIA Football Championship Series. To qualify for an at-large selection, EOU has to finish the season in the top 20 of the NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25.
