Women's Soccer Weekly Notes: Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech

This Weekend
The Mountaineers hit the road for two conference games against Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech.
 
Last Season

Last season the Mountaineers faced Southern Oregon twice and Oregon Tech once. During the regular season the Mountaineers fell, 3-1, to Southern Oregon. Danielle Robinson scored the lone goal for the Mountaineers. Two days later, the Mountaineers rebounded with a, 1-0, victory over Oregon Tech. Late in the second half, Katherine Hood, broke the scoreless tie with less than ten minutes to go in the second half to put EOU ahead 1-0. Eastern Oregon also played Southern Oregon in the CCC Tournament. EOU was defeated by Southern Oregon, 2-0 ending the Mountaineers season.
 
Last Weekend
Eastern Oregon went 0-1-1 last week. EOU fell to then No. 1 Concordia (Ore.), 2-0, before tying Warner Pacific, 2-2 in double overtime, on Saturday. Kaeliana De Vera leads EOU in goals with three goals on the season.
 
Looking at the Opponents
Southern Oregon

The Raiders of Southern Oregon enters the weekend with a recorded of 2-8 and 2-2 in conference action. Southern Oregon is averaging 1.18 goals per game, while allowing 1.82 goals. The Raiders lost their last game, 1-0, to Corban. Presley Lambert leads the team with three goals.
Oregon Tech
The Oregon Tech Owls enter the contest with the Mountaineers with a 5-6-1 overall recorded and 0-3-1 in conference action. The Owls dropped their last game to the Beacons of Northwest Christian, 2-0. Leading the way is Amanda Hisey with four goals. Rebekah Matteri leads the Owls defense as she ranks ninth in the nation in total saves with 89.
 
What's Up Next
The Mountaineers return home for its last regular season home games on Oct. 16 and Oct. 18th. The Mountaineers will host Northwest (Wash.) and Evergreen (Wash.).
