Home Opener
The Eastern Oregon University men's basketball team opens up their 2014-15 home schedule this weekend when they host Simpson University on Friday and Saturday.
 
Last Time Against Simpson
The Mountaineers and Red Hawks game on Friday will be the first meeting between the two programs.
 
Last Weekend
Eastern Oregon University Men's Basketball collected their first win of the season on the road at New Hope Christian, 85-74. The Mountaineers led the first half by shooting 48 percent from the field and 100 percent from the line. The Deacons trailed at the end of the first half, 48-33, shooting 37 percent from the field and 57 percent from the line. On Saturday, Case Rada scored a game-high 33 points and was five-for-nine from behind the arc to lead the Eastern Oregon University men's basketball team to a 81-66 victory over New Hope Christian College.
 
Looking at Simpson
The Red Hawks travel to La Grande, Ore. this weekend to open up their 2014-15 season. Simpson was 12-20 last season and was 9-3 in the California Pacific Conference. Last season, Simpson was led by Dalton Thacker, who scored 13.3 points per game. The Red Hawks
 
20 Rebounds
On Oct. 18th, Bryan McGriff collected 21 rebounds for the Mountaineers. He is the first player since Kyllian Wood on Jan. 7, 2014 to collect 20 rebounds in a game for EOU.
 
Double- Double
Bryan McGriff has recorded a double-double in both games for EOU this season. He scored 20 points and collected 10 rebounds in the first contest. In the second he scored 13 points while collecting 21 rebounds.
 
Quinn Classic
Next weekend, the Mountaineers will host the Quinn Classic. Portland Bible, Walla Walla University and College of Idaho will travel to La Grande, Ore. to square off.

The Mountaineers remain home on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 when they host Portland Bible, Walla Walla University and College of Idaho in the Quinn Classic.
