EUGENE, Ore. – Case Rada scored a game-high 33 points and was five-for-nine from behind the arc to lead the Eastern Oregon University men's basketball team to a 81-66 victory over New Hope Christian College on Saturday afternoon.
Rada carried the Mountaineers in the first half, scoring 24 of his 33 points prior to halftime. He was four-of-seven in the first half from the three point line. As a team, the Mountaineers shot 36.5 percent from the floor, while holding the Deacons to 28.2 percent.
The Mountaineers held a 45-26 lead at halftime.
Eastern Oregon's offense clicked into gear in the second half, as they shot 47 percent. The Mountaineers slowly pulled away in the second half and claimed the victory by 15 points, 81-66.
Following Rada was
Bryan McGriff with 13 points. McGriff led all players with 21 rebounds on the contest.
The Mountaineers return to action on Friday, Oct. 24
th when they host Simpson University at Quinn Coliseum. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
