click here Opening WeekendThe Mountaineers open its 2014-15 season this weekend when they travel to Eugene, Ore. to face New Hope Christian College for two games.
Preseason All-CCCBryan McGriff was named to the All-CCC Preseason Team. McGriff, a junior guard from Las Vegas, Nev., comes to EOU from Grays Harbor Community College. During his sophomore year at Grays Harbor, McGriff averaged 24.4 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game.
New LookThe Eastern Oregon University men's basketball team will have a new look this season. EOU has ten newcomers for the 2014-15 season. The Mountaineers have six transfers and four prep standouts. Transfers include
Dylan Radliff (Central Washington),
De'Sean Mattox (Treasure Valley CC),
Case Rada (Sacramento State),
Bryan McGriff (Grays Harbor CC) and
Christian Parrott (Lower Columbia College). Prep standouts include,
Caulin Bakalarski (South Kitsap HS),
Katahdin Bosco (Benson HS),
Nick Edens (Gig Harbor HS) and
Miles Loupe (Bishop Gorman HS).
Last Year Against New HopeLast season the Mountaineers opened up the 2013-14 season at home against New Hope Christian. The Mountaineers came away with two wins against the Deacons. On Friday, EOU defeated New Hope Christian, 71-41. EOU was led by Tony Eackles Jr led the way for EOU as he scored 18 points.
Craig Tucker collected his first career double-double as he scored 12 points and collected a team-high 10 rebounds in the victory. EOU followed that game with an, 68-57, victory on Saturday. The Mountaineers battled back from a six point halftime deficit for the victory.

Blocked ShotsEOU returns redshirt-junior
Kalvin Johanson. Johanson became the all-time leading shot blocker for EOU last season.
Welcome BackThe Mountaineers welcome back
Michael Crane to the floor for the 2014-15 season. Crane, who was the CCC Defensive Player of the Year in 2012-13 season, redshirted last season.
CCC TournamentThis season, the Mountaineers will be looking to advance to its tenth straight CCC Tournament. The last time the Mountaineers did not make the CCC Tournament was 2005.
