Stepping Out of CCC Play
For the last time this season, the Mountaineers will play a non-conference contest. The Mountaineers travel to College Park, Wash. to face Walla Walla University on Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. This will be the third meeting between these two teams this season.

Previous Meetings against Walla Walla
Walla Walla University and Eastern Oregon are no strangers to each other as this is the third time the teams have met this season. The Mountaineers have came away with two victories over the Wolves. In the first meeting, EOU defeated the Wolves, 72-61, in the Quinn Classic. Two weeks later, EOU and Walla Walla squared off in the College of Idaho Golden Rule Shootout and EOU defeated Walla Walla, 76-67.

Scouting the Opponents

The Wolves of Walla Walla University enter the Tuesday non-conference matchup against EOU with a record of 1-16 on the season. Walla Walla claimed its first win on the season came on Dec. 30 when the Wolves defeated Simpson, 72-71. Walla Walla is averaging 62.1 points per game and shooting 38.3 percent from the floor.
College of Idaho
The Yotes of College of Idaho come into the Friday night matchup against EOU with a 13-5 overall record and a 4-2 record in CCC play. College of Idaho enters the game after falling to Concordia on Jan. 4, 95-89, which snapped a five game winning streak. On the season the Yotes are scoring 90.2 points per game and shooting 48.8 percent from the floor, while holding its opponents to score 78.9 points per game and 42.5 percent from the floor. The Yotes have scored 90 plus points in nine of its 18 games this season.

Last Weekend
Last Weekend the Mountaineers traveled to Portland, Ore. to face Concordia and Warner Pacific. The Mountaineers were defeated in both contests. On Friday night the Cavaliers defeated EOU, 93-79. EOU shot 57 percent in the second half but it was not enough to mount a comeback as the Concordia University Cavaliers defeated EOU, 93-79, Friday evening.Eastern Oregon had five players score in double-digits led by Tony Eackles Jr. with 23 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Craig Tucker followed with 15 points. Trevor Phillips and Derek Maloney scored 13 points apiece. Rounding out the double figure scorers was Kevin Attila with 11 points. The next night the Mountaineers fell to Warner Pacific, 72-57, as the Knights shot 64 percent in the second half. The Mountaineers saw a trio of players score in double figures led by Tony Eackles Jr's 14 points. Craig Tucker and Kevin Attila followed with 12 and 11 points respectively.

Ten Or More Three Pointers
On Friday, Jan. 3 the Mountaineers hit 11 three pointers against Concordia. This is the second most three pointers that EOU has hit in a game this season. On Nov. 8th, Eastern Oregon hit 14 threes for a season high against Multnomah. EOU has hit 10 or more three pointers in six games this season.
