CCC Action Starts (Sept. 4)
On Friday, Eastern Oregon University opens up Cascade Collegiate Conference play. EOU opens up conference play by hosting The Col¬lege of Idaho. College of Idaho was voted to win the CCC this season.

Scouting College of Idaho
The Lady Yotes of College of Idaho come into this match against the Mountaineers winless on the season, 0-5, with three-of-the-five losses have come to teams in the Top 25. In the Lady Yotes last contest, they took North¬west Nazarene University, NCAA Division II, to five sets. Liz Myers leads the Lady Yotes with 57 kills on the season. Sierra Porter leads the team with 187 assists on the season, while Janel Porter has registered 92 digs on the season.

The Series vs. C of I (last five season)
In the last five seasons against The College of Idaho, Eastern Oregon has compiled a record of 1-10. However, the one win against the Lady Yotes came last season, Oct. 19, 2012, in Quinn Coliseum, when the Mountaineers defeated College of Idaho, 3-2 (16-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-22, 15-7).

Winning Streak
Eastern Oregon has a nine-match winning-streak at Quinn Coliseum dating back to Sept. 21, 2012, when EOU defeated Concordia (Ore.). EOU puts the nine-match winning-streak on the line this Friday in its home opener against College of Idaho.

East Coast Swing Results
The Mountaineers went 4-1 on its trip to Flor¬ida this past week. Eastern Oregon defeated Webber International, Talladega, Mobile, and No. 10 Embry-Riddle. EOU's lone loss came to the hands of No. 5 Oklahoma Baptist.

Top 6 (Sept. 4)
Stefani Sorensen and Casey Loper rank in the top six in total kills on the season. The duo leads the Mountaineers in kills on the season. Sorensen, who is fifth in the nation, has a team high 139 kills on the season. Loper is right behind Sorensen with 133, which ties her for sixth place. Sorensen and Loper are not the only Mountaineers in the top six in the na¬tion. Jessalyn Smith is third in the nation with 221 digs on the season.

CCC Honors Loper and Smith
On Sept. 2, the Cascade Collegiate Athletic Conference announced that Casey Loper was named CCC Red Lion Offensive Volleyball Player of the Week and Jessalyn Smith was named CCC Red Lion Defensive Volleyball Player of the Week. Loper and Smith helped guide the Mountaineers to a 4-1 record on its east coast swing. This is the second straight week that EOU has one the Red Lion Of¬fensive Volleyball Player of the Week award. Stefani Sorensen claimed the season's first award.

Repeat Team of the Week
For the second consecutive week, the EOU Volleyball team was named CCC Adidas Team of the Week. Eastern Oregon compiled a record of 4-1 in Florida with an upset victory over No. 10 Embry-Riddle.
