History Made Undefeated In Conference 18-0

Portland, Ore. – The No. 3 ranked Eastern Oregon women's basketball team completed a perfect conference season of play this year, going 18-0 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference by defeating Concordia, 68-52, Saturday night. The Mountaineers are the first team in CCC history to accomplish this feat.
 
Tonight's win also extended the Mountaineers' win streak to twenty-two in a row.
 
Junior Nicole Redd led EOU with 20 points and 2 steals shooting 8-of-10 from the field. Teammates Brooke Randall added 16points and 3 assists and Jorie Freeman finished with with 13 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists .
 
Concordia was led by Malori Dixon with 17 points and 3 rebounds. Kelly Huey added 11 points and 5 rebounds.
 
In the first half, Eastern shot 14-of-30 (47%) from the field  and 4-of-10 (40%) from behind the arc, taking a 35-27 lead into the half. Concordia finished the half shooting 9-of-20 (45%) from the field and 4-of-7 (57%) from downtown.
 
 The Mountaineers came out in the second half and extended their lead to double digits within the first two minutes of play. With just under eight minutes to play the Mountaineers held their largest lead of the game, at twenty-three, 61-38. 
 
EOU finished shooting 27-of-57 (47%) from the field and 10-of-19 (57%) from downtown. CU shot 17-of-50 (34%) and 6-of-14 (43%) from behind the arc.
 
Tonight's game was the last regular season game for EOU.  Eastern will be the #1 seed in the Cascade Conference tournament that starts this Tuesday, February 19th. The Mountaineers will host the #8 seed Corban at 7 pm. Live stats and video will be available at EOUsports.com
