Eastern Oregon University Volleyball improved two spots, from No. 12 to No. 10, in the Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll this week, the national office announced Tuesday. The Mountaineers went 2-0 last week with victories over then-No. 20 Concordia, 3-1 (22-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-10), and Warner Pacific, 3-0 (25-21, 25-11, 25-19). EOU extended its home winning streak to 17 straight matches with those victories.

Morehead No. 1
Head Coach Kaki McLean Morehead is the career wins leader at Eastern Oregon. With the, 3-1 (22-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-10), victory over Concordia, Morelead became the all-times wins leader with 123 wins. She passed former coach Sharon Campbell, 122.

Conference Tournament
Eastern Oregon has clinched a spot into the 2013 Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament. The Mountaineers are currently, 13-1, in conference play and if they Mountaineers win the conference regular season, they will host the conference tournament at Quinn Coliseum on Nov. 15-16. With a first or second place finish, EOU will receive a bye into the semifinals.

The Last Time
The last time the Mountaineers took to the court, EOU defeated Warner Pacific, 3-0. The win over the Knights was the 17th straight win at Quinn Coliseum for Eastern Oregon. Taylor Stewart and Stefani Sorensen led the way for EOU with 11 kills apiece.
