Box Score LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University soccer team lost a heartbreaker to Corban University on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors overcame a second half deficit to defeat the Mountaineers, 2-1.
Corban looked as if it was going to break the scoreless tie with five minute before halftime. Allyson Irwin took a shot for the Warriors but the shot it the crossbar to keep the game scoreless.
Eastern Oregon answered that attack with its scoring opportunity of its own.

Mauriana Gonzalez, who beat Kaitlyn Mendenhall for the first goal of the game and put EOU ahead 1-0.
Gonzalez's goal was the only goal of the half and EOU took a, 1-0, lead into halftime.
Corbans bounced back right away in the second half of the contest. Six minutes into the second half, the Warriors tied the game at, 1-1, after a goal by Randi Donahue.
The Mountaineers and Warriors looked as if they were headed to overtime but Corban had a different idea. After Gonzalez's shot was saved the Warriors answered 19 seconds later. Audrey Sullivan was wide open in front of the goal and Donahue found her for the Warriors second goal of the game giving Corban a, 2-1 lead.
Eastern Oregon did not threaten again and fell, 2-1, to Corban.
EOU returns to action next Saturday, Nov. 2nd to face College of Idaho for senior day. Kick-off is set for 2 p.m.
