LA GRANDE, Ore. -- The Eastern Oregon University volleyball team opens its 2012 home schedule this weekend against Corban and Northwest Christian. The weekly report of the season is now available.

Series: Under Kaki Morehead, EOU is 9-1 against Corban and 8-1 versus NCU.
EASTERN OREGON NOTEWORTHY
• Under Morehead, the Mountaineers have won four straight over Corban, including 12 of the last 14 sets.
• EOU has won nine of the 10 matches against the Warriors under Morehead. The lone loss came on Oct. 25, 2008, in Salem, 3-1.
• Eastern has won seven straight over Corban in La Grande.
• The Mountaineers are 10-1 all-time against Northwest Christian.
• The Beacons' lone victory over EOU was the first meeting between the schools on Sept. 21, 2007, 3-1, in Eugene.
• Eastern responded by winning the next 30 consecutive sets.
• EOU has won all five meetings over the Beacons in La Grande.
• Eastern Oregon is looking to begin Cascade Conference play 4-0 for the second straight season, after acheiving the feat for the first time in school history in 2011.
• EOU swept the opening weekend of CCC play for the fourth straight season.
• The Mountaineers' 15-set win streak earlier this season was the longest since 2000.

• Eastern lost all six of its matches on a neutral floor last season, but are 6-2 on a neutral court this season.

• Eastern is in the top 25 in five statistical categories, including 14th in total digs, 13th in total kills and 12th in total assists.
