LA GRANDE, Ore. -- The Eastern Oregon University volleyball team opens its 2012 home schedule this weekend against Corban and Northwest Christian. The weekly report of the season is now available.

Matches 11-12: vs. Corban (2-6, 0-2) and vs. Northwest Christian (5-5, 0-2)
When: Friday, Sept. 7, and Saturday, Sept. 8

Series: Under Kaki Morehead, EOU is 9-1 against Corban and 8-1 versus NCU.

EASTERN OREGON NOTEWORTHY
• Under Morehead, the Mountaineers have won four straight over Corban, including 12 of the last 14 sets.
• EOU has won nine of the 10 matches against the Warriors under Morehead. The lone loss came on Oct. 25, 2008, in Salem, 3-1.
• Eastern has won seven straight over Corban in La Grande.
• The Mountaineers are 10-1 all-time against Northwest Christian.
• The Beacons' lone victory over EOU was the first meeting between the schools on Sept. 21, 2007, 3-1, in Eugene.
• Eastern responded by winning the next 30 consecutive sets.
• EOU has won all five meetings over the Beacons in La Grande.
• Eastern Oregon is looking to begin Cascade Conference play 4-0 for the second straight season, after acheiving the feat for the first time in school history in 2011.
• EOU swept the opening weekend of CCC play for the fourth straight season.
• The Mountaineers' 15-set win streak earlier this season was the longest since 2000.
• EOU is 8-2 in the first set this season.
• Eastern has appeared in 10 straight NAIA polls.
• EOU's No. 19 NAIA ranking is the highest in program history.
• The Mountaineers victory over No. 8 Lewis-Clark State was the first in the last 15 tries against a top 10-ranked team for the Mountaineers in the last 10 years.
• EOU has won only four of its 47 matches versus a top 25-ranked opponent over the past 10 seasons.
• Eastern lost all six of its matches on a neutral floor last season, but are 6-2 on a neutral court this season.
• EOU broke its nine-match losing streak in five-set matches last week at NU.
• Eastern is in the top 25 in five statistical categories, including 14th in total digs, 13th in total kills and 12th in total assists.
Kaitlyn Duncan is sixth in the NAIA in total digs.
Stefani Sorensen, Alisha Crane, and Casey Loper are 1-2-3 in the conference in hitting percentage.
• EOU is first in the CCC in kills per set, assists per set, digs per set, and hitting percentage.
• Morehead is 15 wins shy of her 100th career victory.
