Eastern Soccer Loses Close Match

Eugene, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University women's soccer team lost 0-2 in a hard fought  game  against Northwest Christian University Saturday evening.
 
EOU took twelve shots on the day, two of them being on target. The Mountaineers had the chance to convert on 4 corners but couldn't find the back of the net. EOU goalkeeper Kailey Moss, had 2 saves in the match.
 
The Beacons (4-4-2) first goal came in the 37th minute of the match. Stevie Harrison snuck past the Mountaineers defense and found herself one on one with Moss and put the ball away.
 
NCU would score again early in the second half. Jacque Bundtrock took a corner in the 60th minute which found  the head of Katelyn Patridge and she finished it to put the Beacons up by 2-0.
 
The Beacons took nine shots on the day, four of those were on goal. Bailey Harrison had two saves for NCU. The Beacons took two corners on the night and committed eight fouls.
 
The Mountaineers (0-8-0) return to Community Stadium next Saturday October 6th at 1 p.m.  to take on College of Idaho for a Cascade Collegiate Conference matchup. Live stats will be available on EOUSports.com.
