Box Score La Grande, Ore. - The Eastern Oregon University men's basketball team (14-0, 2-0 CCC) picked up their 14th straight win over Warner Pacific (7-3, 1-1 CCC) College in cascade conference play tonight 61-59.
Jason Mumm would lead all scorers with 24 points and 8 rebounds.
Anthony Brown would finish with 10 points and 9 rebounds.
Warner Pacific was led by Coletun Tarr with 18 points. Stephen Harris and Doug Thomas would finish 17 and 13 points respectively.
Eastern led by as much as 16 in the first half and went into half time up 38-28. Both teams shot fairly well from the field in the first half. The Mountaineers shot 45% (15-33) to Warner Pacific's 44% (12-27).
In the second half Warner Pacific would tie the game at 54 with 5:11 left in the game. Warner Pacific would take a 2 point led with 36 seconds left in the game before Kalvin Johansen would convert on a 3 point play to put Eastern up one with 21 seconds left. Anthony Brown at the line where he would hit 1-of-2 giving Eastern a two point lead to close the game, 61-59.
Both teams would finish shooting 35% from the field. Warner Pacific shot 14-of-16 from the line while Eastern shot 13-of-20.
