Box Score La Grande, Ore- The Eastern Oregon women's volleyball team defeated Walla Walla University tonight at Quinn Coliseum (25-7, 25-12, 25-6).
Alisha Crane and
Rebecca Haight led the Mountaineers (18-6, 10-4) in kills with 7, while
Katie Keeney and
Casey Loper added 6.
Karly Stack stirred the EOU offense as she dished out 17 assists while
Kaitlyn Duncan recorded match high 11 digs.
In the first set the Mountaineers jumped out to an early 12-4 lead. The Mountaineers then dominated the rest of the match, as they would only allow Walla Walla (2-20) to score a total of 7 points in the set.
In the second game the Wolves took an early 3-1 lead but it was short lived, as the Mountaineers would go on an 11-1 run to take a 12-4 lead. EOU would control the rest of the match and won the game 25-12
EOU came out very strong in the third set as they jumped out to a commanding 10-1 lead. The Mountaineers then went on a 9-2 run and eventually finished the set and match with a final score of 25-6.
Kara Moon, Emily Allen and Courtney Zaro all had 2 kills for Walla Walla. Kelsie Schafer had 3 assist while Brooklyn Larson added 6 digs.
The Mountaineers will look to continue their six game winning streak as they take on Warner Pacific this Friday October 26
th.
