Box Score La Grande, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon women's soccer team lost a tough match against Concordia University Sunday afternoon 0-5.
Courtney Randall and
Quincy Moore each had a single shot on target for the Mountaineers (1-11, 1-4 CCC) but neither shot phased the Cavaliers' (11-0-2, 5-0-0 CCC) goalie. EOU's
Kailey Moss had three saves on the day.
The Mountaineers looked very strong early on and held their ground against Concordia, the No. 1 team in the nation. EOU only allowed a single goal to be scored in the first 45 minutes of play. The first half goal came on a corner kick, when an EOU defender lost their mark and Hannah Kimsey headed one past goalkeeper Moss.
In the second half, the Cavaliers would score four goals. Erin Huisingh, Kimsey, Alicia Alarcon-Evans, and Mckayla Madison would all score in the victory for the Cavaliers.
The Mountaineers look to bounce back next week as they will be on the road Friday, October 19
