WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The Eastern Oregon University women's soccer team dropped it's third game of the season Sunday, 3-0, at Whitman College.

Whitman uncorked a total of 32 shots and Amy Hasson booted her first collegiate hat trick. The Missionaries gained an early 1-0 lead less than 10 minutes into the game when Hasson rifled an unassisted 30-yard scoring strike into the upper left corner of the net.

Hasson nearly scored again in the 33rd minute but her shot clanged off the post.

After taking 15 shots in the first half, which ended with Whitman nursing its 1-0 lead, the Missionaries kept up the pressure with five more shots in the first 11 minutes of the second stanza.

Whitman broke through for a second goal at the 57:10 mark of the second half when Hasson collected a crossing pass from sophomore Pamela London and slotted a ball past the keeper.

Hasson's third goal came about 12 minutes later on a scoring play assisted by senior Kate Potter and sophomore Hallie Swan.

Eastern Oregon got its offense untracked with four shots in the second half. Two of those attempts were on frame, forcing Lauren Brougham to make two saves.

Potter was one of three Whitman starters who played all 90 minute along the defensive back line. Senior Libby Watkins and junior Erin Flannery also went the distance.

Hasson finished with 12 shots, six on goal. Swan and junior Jaclyn Rudd added four shots apiece while Flannery took three shots.

Chantel Schefers started in goal for Eastern Oregon and played into the 81st minute, finishing with 13 saves. Amanda Swenson took two of the four Mountaineer shots.
