The Eastern Oregon University women's and men's basketball teams head to Klamath Falls and Ashland to face Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon in important Cascade Collegiate Conference games this weekend.
The Mountaineer men will try to end No. 3 Oregon Tech's 30-game home win streak, the second longest in the nation behind No. 1 Oklahoma Wesleyan's 31-game streak. No. 4 Bethel College (Ind.) lost for the first time in 31 games at home Tuesday night to No. 8 St. Francis (Ind.). Eastern Oregon last won in Klamath Falls on Feb. 16, 1979.
Eastern's women duel with Southern Oregon's women Saturday night. The Raiders come into the weekend with 15 wins on the season. SOU has beat the Mountaineers three out of the past four times. EOU won the last meeting in La Grande on Dec. 18, 2009, 61-57. Southern was No. 9 at the time.
Fans can follow all of the action many different ways this weekend for free. For those who can not make the trip and are in La Grande, Benchwarmers Pub and Grill will be streaming the live video on one of it's large flat screen televisions.
