Assistant Director of Operations & Recruiting Coordinator | 5th Season

Torivio Gallegos began his coaching career with Eastern Oregon University Wrestling in 2021 as an Academic Coach before stepping into the role of Graduate Assistant from 2022–2024. In 2024, he was promoted to Assistant Coach, marking five years of dedication to the Mountaineer wrestling program.

During his time with EOU, Gallegos has been part of a coaching staff that has led the team to outstanding academic success — earning the No. 2 team GPA in the NAIA in 2023 and back-to-back No. 1 rankings in 2024 and 2025.

A proud EOU alum, Gallegos earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2022 and his Master of Business Administration in 2024.

Originally from Nyssa, Oregon, Gallegos is deeply committed to the success of the Mountaineer wrestling program. He and his wife, Keri, live in La Grande with their three children — Ruth, Lucy, and Elijah. Gallegos’ passion for the sport and his alma mater is summed up simply: He loves EOU Wrestling!
