In High School: Spears graduated from Spanish Springs High School. He played football and ran track. He was 1st team all-region in 110 meter hurdles, 300 meter hurdles, and long jump. He was 2nd team all-region in 200 meter dash. He also received Northern Region Track Athlete of the Year.
Off the Field: Spears is son of Marie and Donald and brother of DJ and Cody. He enjoys weight lifting.
