Kenny Huber enters his first season as the men's soccer coach.
During his time with Olivet, Huber was part of a staff that led the Tigers to four Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Tournament titles in the last five years (regular-season champions in 2014, 2016.) Including four NAIA National Tournament appearances and a No. 19 ranking in the final Coaches' Postseason Top 25 Poll. In addition to a successful 2016 campaign, ONU capped off the year with a 16-4-2 mark. The 16 wins for Olivet were the most in program history. Â
A 2010 Olivet alumnus, Huber returned to Bourbonnais, Ill., to become the graduate assistant after a two-year stint as the goalkeeper coach of the Flint Arrows Soccer Club. Following his GA role, Huber was named the Tigers' assistant coach prior to the 2014 campaign.
In his role as a GA, Huber's duties ranged from anything to drafting up practice plans, managing student-athlete's schedules and grades. He also had a hand in gameday setup, recruiting and handled budgeting aspects for the team.
In addition to his work with the Tigers' program, Huber for the past year has worked with Lansing United of the National Premier Soccer League of the Midwest Region as an assistant and goalkeeper coach.
During his playing days, Huber was an all-conference keeper for Northwood University (Mich.). After transferring to Olivet in 2008 he was part of a squad that led the Tigers to their first national ranking. He was a CCAC All-Conference Honorable Mention keeper in 2009 while helping ONU to its first-ever NAIA Tournament appearance and conference tourney championship. In his final season with Olivet, Huber garnered first-team plaudits.
Huber earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management (2010) and later added a Master's of Organizational Leadership (2014) to his resume from Olivet.
