Biography

2024 • Sophomore: Played in all 11 games for the Mounties... Totaled 28 tackles, 19 solo and 9 assisted... Recorded 1 forced fumble... returned 2 punts for a total of 34 yards. Averaged 21.7 yards per kick return with a total of 217 yards on 10 attempts.

2022: Spent freshman season at Carroll College, redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three year varsity letter winner, and All-Conference wide receiver and All-State defensive back at Marsh Valley. He was a team captain, a state champion basketball player and a state champion baseball player. Off the field, Howe was a member of the National Honor Society. Payton is the son of Jackie and Darren Howe and has one sister (Carter) and two brothers (Jax, Steele). He plans to pursue a degree in Nursing.
