High School- Participated in football and baseball four years, basketball one year, and track two years. While playing football Ware was selected 1st Team All-League, 2nd Team All-Area, and Honorable Mention All-State.
College- Two years in a row Ware was selected 1st Team All-Conference. Named Offensive Player of the Year in Conference for the 2009 season, and an Honorable Mention All-American.
