Interim Head Baseball Coach | 2nd Season
Shane McCarroll joined the Eastern Oregon University baseball staff in 2025 and currently serves as the Interim Head Coach for the Mountaineers.
In his first year leading the program, McCarroll guided EOU to its most conference wins since the baseball program’s reinstatement, marking a significant step forward for Mountaineer Baseball.
Before arriving in La Grande, McCarroll served as an Assistant Coach at Lower Columbia College in Longview, Washington, where he was part of the coaching staff that captured the 2023 NWAC Championship. He also spent four summers (2021–2024) as an Assistant Coach with the Cowlitz Black Bears of the West Coast League, gaining extensive experience developing collegiate talent in a highly competitive summer league.
McCarroll’s coaching journey also includes time at Oregon State University, where he served as an On-Field Manager for the Beaver Baseball Program during the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
A native of Vancouver, Washington, McCarroll earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Oregon State University in 2023.
