- Eastern Oregon has won 16 of the 21 all-time meetings.
- The last five games in La Grande between the schools have all been decided by 10 points or less.
- The Mountaineers’ Chris Ware broke his 13th school record with a rushing touchdown in the third quarter. The senior has scored 22 rushing touchdowns in his career, passing Damien Johnson’s seven-year-old record at EOU.
- Kevin Sampson gained over 100 yards on the ground for the 10th time in his career.
- EOU is 13-1 under Tim Camp when it scores 40 or more points.
- Eastern had no turnovers for the second straight game. Before last week the last time EOU had no turnovers in a game was on Nov. 7, 2009, in a 48-43 loss to Carroll in La Grande.
- EOU has started two seasons, 4-0, including the school’s best start in 1980, when Eastern won the first six games of the season.
- The Mountaineers have won four straight games for the seventh time in a season since 1929.
- Eastern Oregon entered the game first in the nation on third down conversions, but were 4 of 14 Saturday.
- After scoring touchdowns on each of its first six possessions last week, EOU scored two touchdowns in its first nine possessions Saturday.
- The Mountaineers scored on five of its last six possessions.
- Montana Western entered the game averaging a conference low 17 points per game, but had 30 points at halftime.
- Eastern Oregon held the Bulldogs to just nine second half points.
