“We faired well. We started the game off pretty hot, but it was tough for us to get anything going late in the game. Montana Tech is a good football team, we knew that coming in, and we just played the way we know how. The conference is loaded from top to bottom with good teams so we just have to come out prepared to play every game.”

Rush yards were hard to come by, how did Montana Tech’s defense slow it down?
“Well Montana Tech is a good team. They executed their game plan defensively and made it tough for us to get any type of yards. It was tough to find gaps and holes in the defense, which made it hard to get anything going. Credit them for being ready to play today.”
How did it feel to win on Homecoming Weekend?
“It’s a great feeling, having alumni back and the crowd into it. This was a big game for us so we just wanted to come out and execute our game plan and get the win.

Big win in conference and for the program, how proud are you of these guys?
“Well these are the guys I recruited to play out here so it feels good to see them succeed at a high level. There is no quit in them, and they play hard every time they step out onto the field. I’m just proud to be their coach and to have a group that will never give up.”
Undefeated in Homecoming games, how can you explain that?
“Again, these guys just fight to the very end. It was a tough game, and Montana Tech deserves credit for playing extremely hard. I’m just proud that the guys stuck in there when things weren’t going our way and believed that we would walk away with the win.
