Before EOU: Started his collegiate career at Western Oregon University and played for three seasons with the Wolves under Coaches Kellen Walker and Michael McInerney … Appeared in three games in shortened 2020 season as a reliever … As a sophomore in 2020, Bales made 12 appearances including two starts ... Went 3-0 with a 3.29 ERA ... Threw a season-high 4.1 innings of shutout ball March 30 against Saint Martin's, striking out five ...
