LA GRANDE, Ore. — Eastern Oregon Athletics heads into a busy week as men's and women's soccer wrap up their preseason schedules, while No.1 Volleyball returns home to Quinn Coliseum for their highly anticipated home opener.
Monday, September 7
(RV) Men's Soccer will play its final preseason matchup during its trip to the Midwest before turning their attention to Cascade Collegiate Conference play. The Mountaineers will face the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima, Ohio, at 3:00 p.m. ET. Monday's match marks the first meeting between the two programs.
(RV) Women's Soccer will close out their Tennessee trip at Bethel University (Tenn.) at 6:00 p.m. CT. The Mountaineers last faced the Wildcats in the 2019 NAIA Championship Opening Round, where EOU earned a dramatic 1-0 victory with the game-winning goal coming in the final two minutes of the match.
Friday, September 11
No. 1 Volleyball will host their first match of the season, welcoming No. 18 Southern Oregon to Quinn Coliseum for a 6:00 p.m. PT showdown. The Mountaineers enter the matchup undefeated at 13-0 overall and 2-0 in CCC play after earning conference wins over Evergreen and Northwest. The Raiders enter Friday's matchup at 10-2 overall and 2-0 in CCC play, coming off wins over Walla Walla and No. 12 Lewis-Clark State last weekend. EOU and Southern Oregon split their meetings last season, with the Mounties earning a 3-1 road victory before falling 3-1 at home.

Saturday, September 12
Football will travel to Spokane, Washington, to face Whitworth University in a preseason matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. PT. The Mountaineers hold a 3-7 all-time record against the Pirates since 2000 and faced Whitworth last season, earning a 16-10 victory in EOU's home opener.
No.1 Volleyball will continue their opening weekend at home, hosting Oregon Tech on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. PT. The Owls enter the matchup at 7-3 overall and 1-1 in CCC play, coming off a 3-1 win over Walla Walla and a 2-3 loss to No. 12 Lewis-Clark State last weekend. EOU took last season's series against Oregon Tech, earning a 3-2 road victory before taking a 3-0 win at home. The Mounties have not lost to the Owls since 2021.

Women's Soccer will play their final preseason matchup on Sunday, facing Stanton University in a neutral-site contest at Corban University. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. PT. Sunday's matchup will be the first meeting between the two programs.
