LA GRANDE, Ore. — Eastern Oregon University Athletics had two athletes recognized by their respective conferences this week. Football quarterback Kallen Gutridge was named the ERCK Hotels Frontier Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while volleyball outside hitter Brooke Womack earned Cascade Collegiate Conference Attacker of the Week honors for the second time this season.

Football Offensive Player of the Week
In his second start in as many games, newcomer junior Quarterback Kallen Gutridge powered Eastern Oregon to a 51-17 road win over Whitworth University. Gutridge completed 25-of-36 passes for 321 yards and four touchdowns, posting a 69.4 completion percentage and a 175.5 passing efficiency rating. He added 39 rushing yards and a touchdown on seven carries.

Overall, Gutridge accounted for 360 yards of total offense and five touchdowns, helping EOU secure a convincing 34-point victory and earn his first Player of the Week honor as a Mountie.

Gutridge and the Mountaineers will remain on the road, as they travel to Valley City State University to face the Vikings on Saturday, September 19 at 2 p.m. CT.

Volleyball Attacker of the Week
Senior outside hitter Brooke Womack turned in another impressive weekend as No. 1 Eastern Oregon opened its home schedule with consecutive sweeps of No. 18 Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech.

Womack finished the weekend with 25 kills in six sets, averaging 4.17 kills per set while hitting .444. She posted a match-high 12 kills against Southern Oregon and followed with 13 against Oregon Tech. She also contributed five service aces, 10 digs and two block assists across the two matches.

Through the early portion of the season, Womack ranks fourth in the CCC with 143 kills and third with 171.5 total points.

Womack and the Mountaineers return to the road, heading west to face (RV) Bushnell University Friday, September 18 at 6 p.m. PT, and No.4 Corban University Saturday, September 19 at 4 p.m. PT.
