HELENA, Mont. – The Frontier Conference announced its 2025 Preseason Football Coaches Poll on Monday morning, with Eastern Oregon slated at No. 5 in the West Division after receiving 16 total points. 

With the addition of four North Star Athletic Association teams, the Frontier Conference now expands to 14 total teams, splitting into two divisions – East and West. Coaches cast their votes, barred from selecting their own teams in their own division, using a point system which allocates seven points for first place down to one point for seventh place. 

In the West Division, Montana Western leads this season's ranking with 35 points and five first-place votes, followed by Southern Oregon with 30 points and one first-place vote. The College of Idaho snags third with 26 points, while Carroll claims the final first-place vote and sits in fourth with 23 points. Eastern Oregon rounds out the top five, with Arizona Christian and Simpson (Calif.) completing the division in sixth and seventh place, respectively.

EOU welcomes back key 2024 players Glasper, Quincy, and Shaw, who are now joining Head Coach Tim Camp as Assistants, ready to help guide the team to success. Their continued leadership, combined with the addition of 25 new recruits and the return of several vital players, positions the Mountaineers to build on their recent success and make a strong push in the newly expanded Frontier Conference.  

Coming off their best season since 2018 with a 5-6 overall and 4-4 conference record, Eastern Oregon kicks off their 2025 season on the road against The College of Idaho. The game is set to take place on August 30th at 7:00 p.m. MT in Caldwell, Idaho. Conference play will feature two cross-over contests against the East division on Sept. 20 and Sept. 27, followed by six match ups within the West Division.
