LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University men's track & field team is ranked No. 9 in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NAIA poll. The Mountaineers' women's team moved up to the No. 22 spot in the latest rankings.
Both teams were active this past week breaking records and getting national qualifying marks at the Cascade Conference Championships. The men's squad is ranked in six events and earned several top-10 finishes, including a second-place ranking in the steeplechase. The women ranked in four events including a first-place finish in the javelin.

Eastern Oregon had 18 people qualify for the NAIA Outdoor National Championships. Those will begin May 21 lasting through May 23 at the Indiana Wesleyan University Track & Field Complex in Marion, Indiana.
