PRINEVILLE, Ore. – The No. 21 Eastern Oregon men's wrestling team faced a tough challenge against No. 9 Southern Oregon on Saturday, falling 30-7 in a Cascade Collegiate Conference matchup. Despite strong performances from Kyle Knudtson and Nico Rodriguez, the Mountaineers could not overcome the Raiders.

Southern Oregon opened the dual with a dominant stretch, claiming victories in the first seven bouts. Diesel DelRosario (125) set the tone for the Raiders with an 18-6 major decision over Jack Eylar, followed by Dylan Clark (133) securing a 19-4 technical fall over Kai Carson at 5:27. Evan Potter (141) continued the momentum with an 11-0 major decision against Cole Cross.

The Raiders added key decision wins at 149 and 165, with Travis Thorpe defeating Jaxon Morlan 8-3 and Dylan Straley edging Michael Fox in a close 2-0 battle. Southern Oregon also earned a 16-0 technical fall at 157 and a 5-1 decision at 174 to extend its lead.

Eastern Oregon broke through at 184, where Knudtson delivered a strong performance with an 8-0 major decision over Adrian Chavez-Morales. The Mounties closed out the night on a high note at heavyweight, as Rodriguez battled to a 3-2 decision over Sebastian Echeverria.
