CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference has named the No. 10-ranked Eastern Oregon University Men's Cross Country team as the Under Armour Team of the Week, following a strong performance at the Linfield George Oja Invite. The Mountaineers impressed at the meet, finishing third out of 23 teams with 112 points.

Earlier this season, the team began their campaign with a 3rd place finish at the Cascade Conference Preview, followed by a 4th place result at the 49th Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational.

Justin Ash led the Mountaineers with a standout performance, finishing 10th in the 8k race with a time of 24:38.8. George Showers followed, securing 29th place in 25:20.3, while Cristian Mendoza was close behind, finishing 36th in 25:28.1. Grady Greenwood placed 39th with a time of 25:31.7, and Trevor Nichols completed EOU's top five, crossing the line in 25:36.7 to finish 41st.

Next, the Mountaineers will compete at the Sasquatch Open in Spokane, Washington, on October 25, looking to build on their recent success.
