Men's Cross Country Remains 10th in National Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eastern Oregon University's men's cross country team remains in the Top 10, securing the tenth spot in the latest NAIA Men's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released Wednesday. The Mountaineers received 406 points, solidifying their place among the nation's elite programs.

Milligan (Tenn.) retained the top spot in the rankings with 586 points, earning 16 of the 21 first-place votes. The Master's (Calif.) came in second with 565 points and one first-place vote, while College of Idaho jumped to third with 556 points and four first-place votes. Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) was the lone new addition to the Top 25 this week, joining at No. 24.

The NAIA poll is determined by a points-based system, where teams earn 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second place, and so on. The ratings are compiled by a panel of head coaches from various conferences and unaffiliated groups, and the highest and lowest ratings for each team are removed before finalizing the scores.

Still early in the season, Eastern Oregon will look to build on this momentum as they prepare for the upcoming Linfield George Oja Invite on Saturday.
