GLENDALE, Ariz. - Eastern Oregon was back in action Friday as they traveled to Glendale, Ariz. to take on the Lions of Vanguard University and the Firestorm of Arizona Christian in two Cascade Collegiate Conference duals. Eastern showed to be too much for the Lions in their first dual of the day taking the matchup by a score of 29-12. Eastern then followed with a big win over the Firestorm 32-10.

EOU vs VU

Eastern earned two wins by pin which showed to be the difference in the dual. The first came in the 149-pound division as AJ Rockwell was able to take his match by pin, six minutes and 51 seconds into the match, earning the Mountaineers six team points. The next was by Kyle Knudtson, who earned his 20th win of the season and ninth by pin in his victory over Jacob Potts. A technical fall win by Jay Smith in the 197-pound division sealed the dual for the Mounties as they cruised to a 29-12 victory over the Lions.

EOU vs ACU

Eastern started hot as they took each of their first three matches of the dual by major decision, taking a 12-0 lead. Two wins by pin put Eastern in the driver's seat as Cody Glenn of the 157-pound weight class and Kyle Knudtson of the 184-pound weight class earned EOU six team points each with their dominant victories. Eastern ultimately cruised to a 32-10 victory over the Firestorm to improve to 7-2 overall and 5-2 in CCC duals.
