SALEM, Ore.- The Mounties were back in action Friday for the first time in the 2023 season. Eastern started off slow as they dropped their first match of the season to Willamette University, 17-2.

It was a tough offensive day for Eastern as they were out shot by the Bearcats 32-7. The Mountaineers were only able to find the back of the net twice in the match. The first by Kate McAfee, then followed by Saydee Hetrick assisted by McAfee. 

Eastern will be back in action Tuesday, Feb. 14 as they travel to Southern California to take on the University of Redlands. Match time is set for 5 p.m.
