KANSAS CITY, Mo. -  The NAIA has announced its 2022-23 Scholar Team recipients along with the Daktronics Scholar-Athlete selections for the 2022 National Awards Day. Eastern Oregon University had 17 teams make the list along with 97 students garnering Scholar-Athlete honors.

Leading the way in Scholar Team honors was Mountaineers Volleyball with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 for the 2021-22 academic year. Volleyball was followed by EOU Softball who had a cumulative GPA of 3.42. Coming in third in EOU's GPA rankings was Women's Basketball with a cumulative GPA of 3.36. Leading the way for the men's teams was Football with a 3.33 cumulative GPA.

Also earning Scholar Team honors were Women's Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field (3.35), Women's Cross Country (3.29), Men's Cross Country (3.26), Women's Soccer (3.24), Men's Wrestling (3.21), Men's Basketball (3.19), Men's Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field (3.18), Women's Wrestling (3.13), Men's Soccer (3.09), Women's Lacrosse (3.09), and Baseball (3.08).

Football led the way in Daktronics Scholar-Athlete selection with 23. Second in selections was Women's Track and Field with 13, followed by Women's Soccer with nine. The full list of EOU Daktronics Scholar-Athletes is below.
