Mountaineers Roll Past Opposition at Battle of the Rockies Duals

GREAT FALLS, Mont. - Eastern Oregon Men's Wrestling had an outstanding day at the Battle of the Rockies Duals on Friday going undefeated at 3-0. The Mountaineers defeated each of their opponents by double figures and one win came against a CCC foe. With the 3-0 day, Eastern is now 4-2 overall and 2-1 in conference action.

The Mountaineers three wins came against NCAA Division II foe Simon Fraser (B.C.), Northwest College, and conference opponent University of Providence. All three wins for Eastern were by double-digits. With the three wins, the Mountaineers now have a dual win streak of four straight. Along with the three straight dual wins, EOU's victory over Providence is the first for the program since its reinstatement in 2016-17 and snaps a four-loss streak to the Argos.

Against their neighbors to the north in Simon Fraser, the Mountaineers were dominant with a 42-7 win to start the afternoon 1-0. Eastern racked up seven wins in the 10 bouts, with just two coming in forfeit fashion. SFU's three wins were at 125 pounds, 157 pounds, and 285 pounds.
