Game Notes: Mountaineers Wrap Up 2019 Hosting Carroll for Senior Day

LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon football team returns home for its fourth game at Community Stadium in 2019, hosting Carroll College on Saturday at 1 p.m. for Senior Day. The team will honor 15 seniors pregame.

NOTES

• The Mountaineers enter the final week of the season with a 3-7 overall record and 3-6 in the Frontier. EOU is coming off a 27-17 road victory over Rocky Mountain to end the team's away slate of games. The Blue and Gold outscored the Bears 11-0 in the fourth quarter, forcing three turnovers on defense.
 
• Saturday marks the 31st meeting between EOU and Carroll. The Fighting Saints lead the all-time series, 18-14 and 9-6 against head coach Tim Camp. However, EOU has won the last four matchups including two years ago on Senior Day 41-34 in La Grande.
 
• EOU holds an all-time record of 288-474-14 (.377). 2019 marks the 74th-consecutive season in program history. EOU did not compete between 1942-45 due to World War II.
 
• The Saints and Mounties met up to end the season in 2018 on a cold day Helena. The game was a defensive battle as it came down to a last second field goal. On essentially the final play of the game, EOU blocked an 18-yard field goal to win 8-7.
 
• The Mountaineers are 34-27 at Community Stadium all-time under Camp. EOU has gone 1-3 so far at home this year earning a dominant 45-7 win over MSUN on Oct. 12. EOU is 2-5 under Camp at home against Carroll.
 
• The Mountaineers made their first trip to the NAIA Championships in 2016, reaching the semifinals.
 
• The Saints are one of the hottest teams in the Frontier Conference entering Saturday's game. Carroll moved up to No. 22 in the NAIA with four-straight wins including a 30-19 victory over No. 17 Montana Tech last weekend for the Saints' Senior Day.

: Head Coach Tim Camp is the all-time winningest coach in EOU football history with 70 wins.
 
4: The Mounties have won 4-straight over Carroll, including an 8-7 win on the road to end 2018.
 
2: Senior running Victor Dias had two rushing touchdowns in EOU's 27-17 win over Rocky Mountain last week.
 
5: Kicker Jaiden Machuca ranks 5th in the NAIA with 10 made field goals on the season.

15: The Mountaineers will honor 15 seniors prior to Saturday's game, who are  playing their final games of their collegiate careers. The team will honor Derrick Fontenot, Haziel Ledezma, Gunnar Blix, Peter Manville, Eric Prom, Brennan Pope, Alec Cranford, Isaiah Cranford, Austin Castro, Garrett Yunker, Victor Dias, Eli Teuteu, Taylor Vaandering, Jacob Shults and Luis Cardenas.
